How to read the result
YouTube stores territory rules in regionRestriction. There are three common outcomes:
- Worldwide — no blocked or allowed country list.
- Blocked in N countries — unavailable only in those territories (common for music licensing).
- Allowed only in N countries — available only in a shortlist (common for films and broadcaster rights).
Age gates, private/deleted status, and embedding settings are separate from country licensing and may still block playback.
