What is HiDownload?
HiDownload is a Windows desktop video downloader built for streaming media. Many sites play video through an HLS / M3U8 playlist — a list of short segments — instead of one MP4 file. Saving the web page does not save the video. HiDownload finds that playlist, downloads the segments, and writes a playable file on your PC.
The app is a streaming downloader first. You work in a graphical Windows window: paste a page or stream URL, let the built-in sniffer detect the media link, choose a quality, and start the job. You do not install FFmpeg, run yt-dlp, or type commands in a terminal. If you already have a playlist URL, paste it and download.
After a download finishes, the built-in player lets you preview the file. The built-in converter can change the format if you need MP4 or audio-only. Use HiDownload when you have the right to keep a local copy. It does not bypass DRM.

Version 13.0 adds a built-in media player. After a download finishes, open the file inside HiDownload to check picture and sound before you archive or share it. You do not need VLC or another player for a quick preview.
The same release includes a media converter. Turn a finished download into MP4, MP3, MKV, AAC, or WAV without installing a separate tool. Keep the original file, or replace it, from the same window.
